Our services

Welcome to Lexva – Movement for Life!

Physiotherapy and fitness based in Anglesey, North Wales.

We are a husband & wife team, Colin and Nia Roberts.  We are one in our belief that the health and well-being of us all, should be fortified with an appropriate level of fitness, good nutrition, and regular movements, and the one constant that we all need, is a strong and functional breath.

It is this firm belief that underpins everything we strive for at Lexva. We want you to feel present and involved, and to have fun along the way to better health!

At LEXVA we provide a unique patient centred Physiotherapy service from our home clinic.  We also, by request, provide a domiciliary service for those clients unable to leave their homes.

We strongly believe in our individualised approaches, our treatments are considered and effective.  As specialists in Musculoskeletal Pain, Neuro-rehabilitation, and adopting Pain management approaches such as Cognitive Functional Therapy for the management of disabling low back pain (for example), LEXVA, in alliance with you, will coach you back to your functional confident self.

There is a reason we stand by our moto “Movement for Life”.

With a variety of well subscribed community held exercise classes that include Pilates/Tai Chi/Yoga/Spinning/Stretch/Strength & Conditioning, and Fit for Life, we offer a holistic approach to movement and rehabilitation. Colin is also a Qigong teacher – which is a wonderful approach to movement and rehabilitation and these classes will be available in the coming months!

With over 25 years of experience in Health, Sports and Rehabilitation, we are confident in our provision of a bilingual professional bespoke service to suit the needs of everyone.

Our unique service is based upon a bedrock of sound evidence-based clinical and professional practice, a mindful focus, and an unquenchable desire to keep on learning.

We live and experience life with our children on Ynys Mon/Anglesey, which is steeped in a rich prehistory, and blessed with outstanding rugged beauty. As a family, we spend a great deal of our time moving and exploring, surfing, cycling and climbing its contrasting landscapes.

Our home clinic is open to you.

What our clients say…

“Having attempted yoga classes many times over the years, I never felt I got it. Being someone who likes doing things at 100 mph or not at all, I had nearly given up on being able to learn and practice Yoga. But Nia’s classes are fantastic! Not only do they make you feel grounded, relaxed and motivated for the rest of the week, the style of delivery enables you to learn the important aspects at a comfortable pace . Also, I had a problem with my shoulder for 18 months and with a combination of Colins physio sessions and Nia’s yoga, I am finally able to sleep without pain and actually have a decent amount of mobility andstrength again. Highly recommended services, you wont be disappointed. Thank you both!”

Sharon

“When I first saw colin I wouldnt run past 2 miles due to the pain, my workouts in the gym were basic, not pushing myself and projecting the hip. I was scared to do anything incase it would worsen my hip saying no to playing football, going up mountains etc. After having only 3 sessions with colin and following the daily weighted mobility work I feel back to how I used to be before my injury 18 months ago. Since seeing colin I have played a full 90 minutes of football, ran up and down snowdon, ben nevis etc. The stress and pain has gone and I am now back to enjoying keeping fit. I would recommend colin to anyone as he is outstanding in the work he carries out, any problems in the future and im sure to book myself in!”

Tom

“I highly recommend Colin for his empathic listening, his holistic individualised approach, dedication and care of his clients and his vast understanding of chronic pain. He is much more than physiotherapist. His in depth academic knowledge about physiology, exercise, nutrition, mental health and his understanding of the health service results in an exceptional, holistic, professional service and individualised support.”

Abi

“I am on holiday in Anglesey and having meet Colin through family I booked a sports massage for this morning as I have a prolapsed disc and had become uncomfortable with pain. Colin was great I was quickly put a ease and he explained everything he was doing. After the session was finished I felt a lot better and more comfortable! Would recommend to anybody. Thanks Colin”

Andrea Blomeley

“I would highly recommend the physiotherapy services. Very informative and helpful. Diolch o galon.”

Mared Elliw Huws

“I had a very strange situation with my health where I was a bit of a “red herring” and he was able to tell me more about my condition than the Doctors did in 4 years! He is so knowledgeable and thorough; I’ve come a long way in such a short time thanks to him. It also helps that he is such a lovely person too, 5/5 highly, highly recommend”

Beth Frazer

“Very professional advice. Nia does a great deep tissue massage. She really gets into those knots!!!”

Jo Griffiths

“Me and my friend had massage treatments with Nia Roberts. She is a skilled, experienced and intuitive therapist. My legs, which were strained after a lot of walking, felt a lot better afterwards. And my friend said Nia’s massage helped her to feel “more present in her body”. Would book a massage with Lexva again, whether to remediate specific problems or for general relaxation.”

Claire Mace

“Have recently attended Colin’s Pilates class in LLangefni and cannot recommend it highly enough. I had never tried Pilates before and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the class. A lovely bunch of people directed safely and professionally by Colin. My core strength has improved, and I felt calm and uplifted after the class. I hope to return soon, thank you very much Colin”

Julie McArthur

“Having helped my partner with his sciatica a few years back Colin was my first port of call when my back went….and I wasn’t disappointed. He is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable, and I would highly recommend anyone that needs a good physio to contact Colin. Diolch”

Ann Williams

“Had a long-standing back problem but with help of Nia’s lifestyle and exercise programme and Colin’s no-nonsense approach and expertise I feel In a better place now than I have for years. I have more mobility and confidence now. Their approach and treatment complement each other and couldn’t recommend them highly enough.”

Dai Sinclair

“Colin was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly and was able to identify areas in which I can improve and strengthen in order to become a stronger runner!”

Josh Humphreys

“I have recently had my second physiotherapy session to treat my knee ligament injury suffered during a football match, and the progress has been great. Having only suffered the injury less than a week ago, due to the excellent treatment and advice I have received, I am now gaining in strength and confidence. I appreciate Colin’s honesty, professionalism and care throughout the treatment.”

Gari Owen

“Highly recommended! Colin has helped my husband and both kids. He is very knowledgeable and professional.”

Jane Thomas

“I went to see Colin following a lumbar disectomy. I had severe left leg sciatica post surgery and improvement was very slow after eight weeks. Wow, I wish I had seen him sooner. His approach was positive and holistic. He got me to understand how my nervous system and body was responding  to surgery and gave me a clear, realistic rehab plan. Everything he said has worked and I very quickly made huge progress. I am well on the way to being pain free. Colin’s knowledge and approach to all things ‘nerves’ is amazing and I highly recommend.”

Fiona Asson

“Colin has been tremendous in helping me regain movement that was limited due to awful nerve pain after a mountain bike crash. He listened, assessed, reassured and tailored an exercise routine that has helped me regain confidence with “simple” functional movements such as sitting on the floor and getting back up again! He also helped me regain strength and flexibility in area’s I needed to work on.

As a sponsored Kite Surfing athlete, I have seen many physios, Colin’s approach to movement is incredibly unique and his holistic approach has been wonderful, and very beneficial.”
